GAO: Troops Suffering PTSD Separated For Misconduct

Thousands of service members suffering from PTSD have been tossed out of the service with less-than-honorable discharges, according to a study by the government’s top watchdog. A Government Accountability Office study covering the years from 2011 to 2015 found that more than 57,000 troops were separated for misconduct despite a diagnosis of mental-health troubles.
