 NGAUS Golf Tournament

Friday, August 30, 2019

Fossil Trace Golf Course

The tournament and the Partners Tournament the day before are set for one of the premier courses in Colorado and one of the best golf experiences anywhere. Located in nearby Golden, Colorado, in the foothills of the Rockies, the layout is challenging and unique, not only for its undulating fairways but for its spectacular views rich history. The Jim Engh-designed course gets its name for the fossilized triceratops footprints and palm founds adjacent to the 12th green. You will also see remnants of the region’s mining heritage throughout the course.

 Fourteener Climb

Friday, August 30, 2019

The quintessential summer activity in the Rockies, a “fourteener” is a hike that covers the last 3,000 or so feet up to an elevation of 14,000 feet. There are 58 such peaks across Colorado, more than in any other state. And many are close to Denver. Some fourteeners are rugged, but others much easier. The planned trek will take you up Mt. Bierstad on a relatively gentle, three-and-a-half-mile trail. The rest is downhill, and the wildflowers are spectacular in July and August. The starting point is less than a 90-minute bus ride from Denver.

 Motorcycle Rally

Friday, August 30, 2019

Peak to Peak Highway

The motorcycle rally returns with a spectacular ride through the Rockies. The route runs through the Peak to Peak Highway, one of Colorado’s most scenic byways. Starting in downtown Denver, you will ride past the Front Range and Rocky Mountain national parks, through the Indian Peaks and Long Peak landmarks and into the picturesque towns of Estes Park, Nederland, Central City and Black Hawk.

Company Grade / Warrant Officer Mixer

Friday, August 30, 2019

Mile High Station

Meet hundreds of company-grade and warrant officers at the historic Mile High Station, a preserved World War II-era shipbuilding ironworks. Visit Denver calls the landmark “a rare find with an ‘urban chic’ vibe.” There will be plenty of food and drink. And the entertainment includes a silent disco, which will enable you to put in your earbuds and dance to the music of your choice. The main attraction, of course, is the chance to network with your peers from across the country.

 Fun Run

Saturday, August 31, 2019

Auraria Campus

Always a great way to see more of the conference host city, the foot race treks through the historic 9th Street Park, Tivoli Commons, Tivoli Square and other greenway areas on Denver’s scenic Auraria Campus. The 150-acre campus encompasses three separate and distinct institutions of higher learning: the Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver and University of Colorado Denver.
